Health check-up in Koh Samui

Comprehensive health screening with blood tests, vital signs and a doctor’s review, all completed in a single walk-in visit. Our English-speaking team works from a clinic in Bang Rak, minutes from Samui Airport and the Big Buddha.

Preventive care that fits your trip

Many people put off a health check-up for months, then find the free time to do it while relaxing on the island. Others are long-stay visitors, expats and tourists who want a trusted annual review without travelling to Bangkok. A health check-up in Koh Samui at our clinic gives you comprehensive, preventive care in one convenient morning: fasting blood work, a full physical examination, vital signs and a face-to-face doctor consultation to explain every result. Screening while you feel well is the simplest way to catch problems early and enjoy real peace of mind.

What a comprehensive check-up includes

Our health check programs are tiered by age and history, so you only pay for the tests that make sense for you. A typical full body screening covers the essentials that matter most.

  • Blood tests: complete blood count, fasting glucose, cholesterol and full lipid profile, kidney and liver function
  • Vital signs and body measurements: blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and BMI
  • Physical examination of the heart, lungs, abdomen, skin and lymph nodes
  • Optional add-ons such as thyroid function, HbA1c, vitamin D, cancer markers and hepatitis screening
  • A doctor’s review of your results with a written, English-language medical report

How your visit works

No appointment is needed. We are a walk-in clinic in Bang Rak, open daily, with a doctor on call 24 hours. For fasting blood tests, come in the morning having had only water for eight to twelve hours beforehand. The blood draw and examination take around thirty minutes, and you are free to go for breakfast while our on-site laboratory processes your samples. Because testing is done in-house, most results are ready the same day or the next morning, when the doctor sits down with you to explain them, answer your questions and, if anything needs treatment, dispense medication from our on-site pharmacy or arrange follow-up.

Costs, insurance and reports

Check-up prices are fixed and quoted before any blood is drawn, so there are no surprises. Many travel and expat policies cover medically indicated screening, and we offer direct billing with most travel insurers; simply bring your policy details and we will handle the paperwork. Every patient leaves with an itemised receipt and a clear medical report suitable for insurers, employers, visa requirements or your own doctor back home.

When a check-up is not the right choice

A health check-up is designed for people who feel well. If you currently have chest pain, sudden breathlessness, severe abdominal pain, confusion or any signs of a stroke, do not book a screening; go to a hospital emergency department immediately. For non-urgent symptoms such as ongoing fatigue, fever or stomach trouble, a focused doctor consultation is often more useful than a full package. Message or call us and we will honestly advise which option fits your situation, whether you are staying in Chaweng, Bang Rak or Bophut.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to fast before my health check-up?

Yes, for accurate blood tests such as glucose and cholesterol you should have only water for eight to twelve hours beforehand. The easiest approach is to come first thing in the morning without breakfast. If you are unsure, message us and we will confirm what your chosen package requires.

How long does the check-up take?

The blood draw and physical examination usually take about thirty minutes. Because our laboratory is on site, most results are ready the same day or the following morning, when the doctor reviews them with you. You are free to go for breakfast while the lab processes your samples.

Do I need an appointment?

No. We are a walk-in clinic in Bang Rak, open daily, with a doctor on call 24 hours. You can simply come in for your health check-up. If you prefer to plan ahead or have questions first, you are welcome to message or call us.

What is included in a comprehensive package?

A full screening typically includes a complete blood count, fasting glucose, cholesterol and lipid profile, kidney and liver function, vital signs, body measurements and a physical examination. You can add thyroid tests, HbA1c, vitamin D, cancer markers or hepatitis screening. The doctor then reviews every result with you.

Will you explain my results?

Yes. An English-speaking doctor goes through each result with you in a face-to-face consultation, explains what the numbers mean and advises on any next steps. You also receive a written medical report you can keep or share with your own doctor at home.

Can you come to my hotel or villa?

Yes. If you would rather not travel, our doctor makes hotel and villa visits across Koh Samui, including Chaweng, Bang Rak and Bophut, and can draw blood at your accommodation. Results are then processed at our clinic laboratory in the usual way.

Does travel insurance cover a check-up?

Many travel and expat policies cover medically indicated screening, and we offer direct billing with most travel insurers. Bring your policy details and we will handle the paperwork. If direct billing is not possible, we provide a full itemised report for your claim.

Can I get a medical report for a visa or employer?

Yes. Every check-up comes with a clear, English-language medical report and an itemised receipt. These are suitable for insurers, employers, visa applications or your family doctor. Let us know in advance if you need specific tests included for a particular requirement.
